macOS app + this website
Skinny squeezes image files. It is not in the business of collecting you. This policy explains what the Mac app does with your pictures, what this website does if you ask for a download, and who else might briefly see a request along the way.

Skinny is a utilities app for macOS. Its only job is image compression. When you drop or open images, processing happens locally on your Mac. The pictures are not uploaded to us, to a compression API, or to any other server we operate.
We do not require an account, and the app does not ask you to sign in with Apple, email, or any other identity provider. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos library contents, advertising identifier, or device identifier through the app.
Skinny only works with files you explicitly drop on the window or choose in a file dialog. It does not scan your photo library in the background, and it does not read files you have not handed it. Those files, and the smaller copies the app writes, remain under your control on your Mac. Because we never receive them, we cannot view, recover, or delete them for you.
If a future version of Skinny starts collecting any data, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy labels before that version is what you install.
The site at this domain is a front door for the Mac app. Browsing it does not create an account. We do not run advertising cookies, and we do not use a third-party analytics product on these pages.
Like most websites, our host may keep ordinary connection logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) for security and operations. We do not use those logs to identify you or to build marketing profiles. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts; Google may receive your IP address as part of serving those font files. That request is not used by us to track you.
If you submit the download form, you give us an email address so we can send the Skinny for Mac download link. That is the only personal information the form is built to collect. We do not ask for a name, phone number, or payment details on this site.
The form is delivered by FlowForm (flowform.to), which receives the submission in order to email it to us and, if configured, redirect you to a confirmation page. We use the address only to send the download and to answer a reply about that request. We do not sell it, add it to an advertising audience, or share it with data brokers.
We keep a submitted email only as long as needed to deliver the download and handle a follow-up about it. You can ask us to delete it at any time using the contact below. If you never submit the form, we do not have your email.
If you download or buy Skinny from the Mac App Store, that transaction is between you and Apple. Apple processes payment, may collect information under its own privacy policy, and provides us only the limited sales and crash information Apple chooses to show developers in App Store Connect. We do not receive your payment card number, billing address, or Apple ID password.
Apple’s privacy policy is at apple.com/legal/privacy. Questions about an App Store purchase, refund, or your Apple ID should go to Apple.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The only processors involved in the practices above are:
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the security of the site. We do not expect that to involve app image data, because we do not have it.
Local compression means your images never have to cross the network to be made smaller. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Protect access to your Mac the way you usually would. On the website, form submissions are sent over HTTPS to FlowForm.
Skinny is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child sent us an email through the download form, contact us and we will delete it.
You can use the Mac app without giving us any personal information. You can ignore the website form entirely and install Skinny from the Mac App Store instead. If you did submit an email, you may ask us to access or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to correct information or to appeal a refusal. We will not discriminate against you for asking.
Because the app does not collect personal information, there is no app profile to export or delete on our servers. Uninstalling Skinny from your Mac removes the app; files you already saved stay where you put them.
Image processing stays on your Mac. If you email us through the website form, that message is handled by FlowForm and by us, and may be processed in the United States or wherever those services operate. We do not transfer app image contents, because we never receive them.
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change materially expands what the Mac app collects, we will also update the privacy information shown on the App Store before that collection starts. Continued use of Skinny after an update means the new policy applies to the updated app.
